DMV Starlink Installers is an independent third-party installation service for customer-owned Starlink equipment. We are not affiliated with, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates.
The name "Starlink," as well as related names, marks, emblems, and images, are registered trademarks of their respective owners. The use of the Starlink name on this website is for identification and descriptive purposes only and does not imply any association or endorsement by SpaceX.
1. Agreement to Terms
By scheduling, purchasing, or using any services provided by DMV Starlink Installers ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Customer," "you," "your") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Services
We provide professional installation services for customer-owned Starlink satellite internet systems. A standard installation includes the secure mounting of the Starlink dish at an agreed-upon location, routing of the cable from the dish to the interior of the property, connection to the Starlink modem/router, and verification of a successful system connection.
Services do NOT include network configuration beyond the basic Starlink setup, electrical work, trenching, tree removal, or moving of furniture. Any work required beyond the scope of a standard installation will be discussed with the customer and may incur additional charges.
3. User Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and efficient installation, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete address and contact information.
- Ensure an adult (18 years or older) with the authority to make decisions is present for the entire duration of the installation appointment.
- Provide our technicians with safe and clear access to all necessary areas of the property, including roofs, attics, and crawl spaces.
- Inform us of any known hazards, such as asbestos, faulty wiring, or structural issues, prior to the appointment.
- Obtain any necessary permissions from landlords, property owners, or Homeowners' Associations (HOA) prior to the installation. We are not responsible for any violations of HOA rules or lease agreements.
- Secure any pets in a safe location away from the work area for the duration of the service.
4. Payment and Billing
Payment for services is due in full upon completion of the installation. We accept the following payment methods: [List your payment methods, e.g., Credit Card, Check, Zelle].
An estimate of costs will be provided prior to the service. The final invoice will reflect the actual services performed. Any changes to the scope of work must be agreed upon in writing (e.g., via text or email) before work commences and may affect the final price.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that schedules can change. We require a minimum of [XX, e.g., 24 or 48] hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than [XX] hours' notice, or if our technician arrives and is unable to perform the work due to a failure to meet User Responsibilities (e.g., no adult present, unsafe access), may be subject to a cancellation fee of $[YY.YY] to cover travel and scheduling costs.
We reserve the right to reschedule an appointment due to severe weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to provide as much notice as possible.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DMV Starlink Installers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from our services.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the services rendered. We are not liable for the performance, speed, or uptime of the Starlink internet service itself, as that is governed by your agreement with SpaceX.
While we take the utmost care during installation, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your property. We will document and photograph the work area before and after our service. Any damage caused by our direct negligence will be addressed as covered by our business liability insurance.
7. Warranty and Support
DMV Starlink Installers provides a [e.g., 12-month] workmanship warranty on all installations. This warranty covers the physical installation components, including the mounting, wiring, and weatherproofing we perform. If any part of our direct installation work fails due to our error, we will repair it at no cost.
This workmanship warranty does NOT cover:
- The Starlink hardware/kit itself (this is covered by your warranty with SpaceX).
- Issues with the Starlink internet service, including outages or slow speeds.
- Damage caused by severe weather, acts of God, vandalism, or modifications made by anyone other than our authorized technicians.
8. Governing Law
This Agreement and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia.
